Engineering Manager

We're on the hunt for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a pack of electrical and mechanical engineers in crafting and fine-tuning solutions for compressors, pumps, blowers, vacuum systems, and energy audits—right here in Portland, OR. This gig's all about steering project management, engineering workflows, and building a top-notch team with solid leadership and lean smarts, straight from the woods.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the engineering team, managing Alpha-Beta-Market processes for all projects.
- Determine staffing, training, and equipment needs to ensure team success.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and coach engineers to achieve career growth and project goals.
- Utilize Lean methodologies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate workflow between internal teams, external partners, and customers to meet project objectives.
- Establish and maintain engineering design standards, ensuring compliance and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s in Engineering, MBA, or PMP certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team and collaborate with customers.
- Exceptional decision-making ability, with a focus on timely and impactful outcomes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and the ability to integrate systems seamlessly.
- Demonstrated capability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and systems.
- Familiarity with energy audit principles and systems a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use in an office environment.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Salary: $135,000 - $150,000
